Cartilage piercing complications?

i was at the mall and noticed this place called piercing pagoda & decided to take a look. one of my friends told me how cheap it was, and i was interested in getting my cartilage done. i picked out a stainless steel cone-shaped piercing, and got it done with a gun. it didnt hurt that bad, until like a couple days afterwards. i clean it twice everyday but it still feels very sore. i can barely even sleep on that side anymore because it hurts. prior to the piercing, i never researched it or anything so i didnt know that it was bad to get it pierced with a gun instead of a needle. should i remove the piercing & get it re-done w/ a needle or just wait the 10 months or whatever for it to heal?

Has anyone else been confronted with having to chose either a VBAC or repeat C?

I am soooo torn between my wants/needs/fear ect all while worrying what's best for the baby. I had FTP (failure to progress) with my first. I am very petite 5' and have a tiny frame and she was a beast for my body at 8lbs and 21inches. I was 41 weeks and a few days late. I showed no signs of labor except being consistantly a finger tip dilated without my cervix being even the slightest bit rippened ect. I was given cervidel didnt work and taken off it after like 35 mins. Next morning pitocin after almost 12 hours and only gettin 1 more centimeter dilated with the pitocin turned as high as they could get it and having had my water broken. Basically my baby was NOT comming out without me being sliced and diced. I was miserable exhausted in extreme pain ect. I had a c-section that had I known I was going to have I would have planned to have things a bit different. However if this time i have another; I know what I need different with a c-section. I of course have that natural motherly desire to have my baby naturally (well lly I deff want an epi). But also the fear of so much pain and long wasted labor scares me more. I feel like I wasn't my best for my baby because I was on extra drugs and extra tired and conused and upset the list goes on. The Dr. and myself have agreed that as long as everything continues to appear safe that I will go to about 38-38 1/2 weeks; if I have not dialated at all am not at all rippened effaced ect. then well drop it and do the c. However if I am showing positive signs of labor then I will go for it. But even though this agreement is the best of both I am still feeling like it is insufficent. I want to know asap exactly how I am having this baby. If it's gonna b a c-section i want to know well in advanced so I can help pick a great B-day and prepare myself mentally and everything. What has anyone else faced with this done? How did it all end up? Would you have done it differently? I will add that will want at least 1-2 more babies in the future and i do know that another c-section means that I will forever have c-sections as well as it lowering the ease of getting pregnant. Which also scares me! and confuses me more!

What is wrong with my puffer fish?

I have a green spotted puffer, and I've had him for about 6 weeks and he's been fine up till yesterday. He's usually very active, however, since yesterday he's been very still, resting on the decorations and the bottom or just floating in one spot and he's belly is a very dark shade of gray. He is not very eager to eat, he used to wish he can swim through the gl, today I had to tap the forceps on the gl with food in it for nearly a minute before he decided to swim up and eat. And he usually ate each of the blood worms in 1 gulp, now he's eating and spitting out. He is breathing very fast and he twitches every minute or so. I do suspect parasite but I am unsure. His feces is long oval, reddish brown when he first poops. I keep him in low brackish conditions, currently at 1.002, slowly raising. The ammonia is almost zero. i would definitely take ballet first. ballet is the foundation of all dance. If you wish to take jazz, ballet would help you improve your skill on them. In other words, if you want to do other cles, ballet will make you a much better dancer. Not only does it teach the steps and positions and turns like you said, but it also increases strength flexibility, and balance, which you will need to dance well! And dancing well doesnt just mean knowing the fancy french names for all the steps! For anybody who says ballet is not necessary, their wrong. It really is the whole background of dance. Jazz is made up of a lot of ballet technique.If you really dont think you need it, well im not going to stop you, im just saying i think you should! Keratoconus anyone? Wondering if anyone else has or had it.?

I had 20/20 vision my whole life, until about a year and a half ago. I am near sighted, I have an oblique astigmatism, and I have steep corneas. This whole bunch of eye problems could lead to keratoconus and I think it is because my vision keeps getting worse. I now see 20/70 with the gles that let me see 20/20 in January. Has anyone else had or currently have keratoconus? Even if you just know someone who has I’d like to talk to them. I'm 19, I can barley drive at night do to crazy light distortions, I'm almost half way to legally blind and it keeps getting worse and my mom and doctor aren't helping me feel any better about this.

We ripped out the carpets (which were grossly smelly and stained), and soaked the floorboards with Nature's Miracle. The smell is still partly there, I have read on here that multiple mops with bleach works wonders. How much should I dilute the bleach? We are planning on applying kilz afterwards. If you said something nice and concerning to them and their response was perhaps a rude and/or careless one, don't take it personally. Maybe they just need time to deal with things. Fix a smelly basement?

I just moved into my grandparents basement and it has this unpleasant smell to it. I guess you can call it musty mixed with old people but I've sprayed Oust a bunch of times and I have Febreeze air fresheners but they just seem to cover or blend with the smell rather than fix it. I need to break up with my fiancee, I can't take it anymore!?

Im 29 and have been in a relationship with my fiancee for 8 years and have been engaged for 3yrs, she is 26. I am a firefighter and work shift hours and she has a full time job also. If you are flying a much smaller airline, and you are in an odd part of the airport you could be there with only the people on your plane. The answer before is very true. O'hare at 5:00PM is KILLER!!! Although, my rule of thumb is to avoid O'hare at all costs, because they cancel and delay flights like no other airport, and they are all pansies when it comes to weather that might "be a problem". If you can't tell your parents atleast go to the school nurse or your Guidance conselor. You need help and your life is worth living! Don't ever think as bad as it that it is not. My husband is overseas and I am upset but I know my limits on getting upset and I know how to get over my feelings of being upset. I see that you are interested in cooking and looks like your health. I would join some after school activities or clubs. You will be amazed at how much friends you will make. As for your parents maybe it is time to have a heart to heart talk with them. Sit them down at dinner or after dinner and tell them what is going on. Do they know that you hurt yourself? Do they know why? Do they know about your friend commiting succide? It wasn't. Do you know that many of those so called "clunkers" had 50,000 miles or less on them? Many of them had good tires and running gear, and some still had engines in them that were running well, but yet the engines in those vehicles were destroyed. We have people, in this country, who would have given their right arm to own one of those "clunkers" that were deliberately destroyed. Just another example of our political stupidity! The next day in the afternoon, I started to have gy-like cramps, a little flatulence/constipation, and my began to get somewhat tender. I have noticed some lower back pain and abdominal pain as well. This has been going on every day nonstop. My expected period is tomorrow (Wed 9/9). I know it can be hard to tell if these are early signs of pregnancy, especially since I'm so close to my period. Flatmates from hell.?

I’m in my first year at uni and am staying in halls. The flat I’m in is an 8 person flat and as you can imagine moving away from home and your family and Friends is a big change. The first few Weeks at uni where good and I met a lot of great people in the accommodation I’m staying in. I get on with about 50% of my flat and got on with everyone at the start of the year. But after fresher’s weak that 50% never stopped their party lifestyle. They have no respect for the flat or anyone else staying in it. They have ground shaking music playing till all hours of the morning. The kitchen is disgusting! We had to move 20 bags of rubbish from a relatively small kitchen/ sitting room space which was nothing to do with those doing the cleaning. they take no responsibility for the disgusting environment they have created for the rest of us and openly admitted they would rather give up there £300 deposit for the damages they have caused too the intercom/tables/windows/doors/carpets/ce… etc than give up having a good time getting drunk and messing up the place. However it is in no way fair that the rest of us should have to give up our deposits and spend our time making the flat remotely inhabitable. The final part to this story is that after a flat inspection and a bill of £15 each for cleaning costs, I spoke to the site manager to make sure he was aware who was responsible and that I would not receive any blame for things I had nothing to do with. Then the staff informed me they had been caught on CCTV doing things which warranted a visit from the site manager and the threat of eviction. however after the visit from the site manager they umed one of us had given in their names to the site office rather than the visit being a result of their own actions on cctv and blame the rest of us for ''getting them in trouble'' when the fact is their own actions did that for them. After this one of them put a sign on the notice board in the hall claiming that ‘’whoever gave the office my name can expect there life too be a living hell as long as they live here’’ I feel threatened and uncomfortable living with these people but can’t go anywhere else. So I’m asking how people think I should deal with these people and this Situation? The fact is I don’t care what they get up too and what they do as long as they don’t affect me and if they do then I don’t see why I should put up with it but am now suffering for making it clear that there actions are nothing to do with me.

Okay, I really wanna do cheerleading in high school, so I've been practicing gymnastics daily all the time. I've mastered a cartwheel, roundoff, front walkover, front limber, and back bend. I can go back, i go up on my toes, I bring my feet to my hands, I just can't kick over! Before my coach said i should do back exorcises, but after like 2 weeks he said my back was fine, but I needed to work on getting a stronger stomach. Like how do i do that? Chihuahua Puppy with Parvo?

I would say true! I did that with my son and taking him off the bottle was hard...then instead he took his sippy cup to bed with him! No matter what it was he wanted to have a drink with him in his bed...and he never got off the habit. He's almost 5 years old and he still has to have a cup of water by his bed lol! In my english cl we have been reading the Iliad. We just finished the trojan war and we have to write an essay about mentor ship in the Iliad. I'm a little confused by it though because i can only think of one real example. Athena was a mentor during war but im not really sure how to explain that. The only other example I could think of is Achilles and Patroclus, but im not entirely sure that he was being a mentor. I need help! Can't afford to take it to a mechanic.?

I have a 1988 Buick LeSabre, 3.8 engine, 6cyl. About 2 and a half weeks ago I put a brand new battery in. About four days after that fact, my car won't start. The engine turns, but there's no spark. I changed out the ignition module, which didn't work, so I returned it and put my original one back on. Changed out the igntion coil, still didn't work. Spark plugs and wires have been changed/checked. Fuses are going to be checked on Saturday. Does anyone else have any ideas of what else it could be?? Its not the fuel, btw, we checked that too.

Republicans are ignoring this outright and are repeating the "tort reform" mantra. Tort reform won't fix health care's largest problems. So why don't republicans want to do more?

I feel dumb in not looking at the actual unit before signing. Before we signed, we were shown a remodeled unit, and we were told, only the kitchen cabinets, and woodfloors in the kitchen were the only difference. My husband wanted to see the one we were gonna actually move into, but the lady told us there was still someone living there. We finally get the lease signed, and go see the unit to find a stinky apartment. The carpets were filthy, not even vaced, and the carpets were not even attatched to the floor! I was wondering, since it's only been 24 hours if they will let us terminate the lease. By the way, these apartments are called Stone Ridge in Colorado Springs! Do not go there! For $500 bucks you'll be living in the dumps! Looks can be deceiving!

Honest opinions of Europeans towards Americans, and perhaps even vise versa?

I'm American, and personally find it a wonderful country. I find our history fascinating, the way we made a powerful nation out of literally nothing. I love being able to call my country the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. I admire America and my American ancestors as do many others, which I don't think is a just reason to call us arrogant and too patriotic. And what about the accents? American women practically swoon over British guys with the accent and all (I know I do!) but do Europeans find American accents unpleasant?I know you all think we are loud and authoritative, and I agree, it's just how many of us naturally speak, but not in a disrespectful way. I myself actually tend to think of British people as being very quiet and reserved. Americans think of Europeans in general to be attractive people, is that thought returned? Just curious. And please do elaborate on your thoughts of Americans and why many of you find us untrustworthy, ruining the world, uneducated, greedy, etc. And I also heard other cultures feel we smile too much but our smiles are void of any warmth or friendliness and our eyes appear cold and calculating.. That definitely doesn't seem the case to me. We do smile a lot, at strangers ping on the sidewalk or while just relaxing with friends, but it's not meant to be misleading or a sham of friendliness. I read the responses before I answered and I think some ppl are being a little snitty here! I think this is a very interesting question that has merit. It is true that there use to be alot of inbreeding in royal families. Not brother to sister but alot of cousins. How do you think the Romanovs were related to almost every royal house in Europe? Fat lot of good that did them. But it is also the reason that the boy had hemophilia (as did some other males of royal blood, there cases are not as famous though) and some of the royals have had other interesting diseases. At one time Queen Victoria grandchildren were king/queen of almost every European country. SOOO when their children grew up to marry someone deemed appropriate, they would probably be marring a cousin. This was happening for centuries though. In recent years of course this is no longer the norm.
