1993 GSX 600f carborator issues?

I am mechanically enclined with cars, I know how to work on car engines pretty well I think. I know how to change motors, and transmitions and various other things with cars. Would be advicable for me to take of the carborators to my first bike and clean them myself under the supervision of a video on youtube which shows how to do and and it doesnt seem to hard but I just dont want to mess up nothing. However you know how it is, I hate to pay for a oil change when I know I can change my own oil. I hate the price quotes I been getting to get my Carbs cleaned, you know. So what are your thoughts.
