What is appropriate to wear to opera singer's recital in OC?

My husband and I are from Texas and will be attending a recital for opera singer Cecilia Bartoli next week at the Center for Performing Arts in costa mesa, calif. Would we be dressed appropriately wearing blazer with tie and slacks for him and satin pants, dressy jacket and heals for me?? Help!!!
