Male dog more attached to male owner than female owner. is this normal?

me and my boyfriend live together and we have a 2 year old male belgian malinois. The BM is more attached and closer to boyfriend than me. He follows him more and likes to sit near him. He gets overjoyed when bf returns from work but shows no reaction when i return. And whats shocking is that i take most care of the BM. Boyfriend goes to work. I feed him and walk him during morning and afternoon. However BM still treats boyfriend as king and ignores me
