What would you do in this situation?

ok well im likin thiz person that already haz a gurl but just 2 dayz ago that person waz sad and had told me he never cries over someone but he has cried over hiz gurl 2 times already and that the whole relationship waz revolved around her, so i gave advice and supposably they talked and starting to work it out, but the thing iz i like him kinda a lot and know i can treat him way better than she can...what should i do? my friendz say juz fo get him...or juz wait...or simply juz find someone else to crush on, but idk what to do?!?!
