Am I able to cut a rental lease of one year, one day after signing?

I know after you sign, you have to pay whatever remaining you haven't used for the remaining year. But the unit we were given was misrepresented. I feel dumb in not looking at the actual unit before signing. Before we signed, we were shown a remodeled unit, and we were told, only the kitchen cabinets, and woodfloors in the kitchen were the only difference. My husband wanted to see the one we were gonna actually move into, but the lady told us there was still someone living there. We finally get the lease signed, and go see the unit to find a stinky apartment. The carpets were filthy, not even vaced, and the carpets were not even attatched to the floor! I was wondering, since it's only been 24 hours if they will let us terminate the lease. By the way, these apartments are called Stone Ridge in Colorado Springs! Do not go there! For $500 bucks you'll be living in the dumps! Looks can be deceiving!
